I was fortunate enough to be commissioned by The History Quill to write this piece on the importance of conveying clothing accurately in historical fiction. As part of this, I advised writers on how to present costumes authentically and demonstrated this through examples such as Elizabeth I's Rainbow Portrait and my own study of sumptuary laws.
From 2016-2019 I worked as a Creative Editorialist for the Harry Potter fansite MuggleNet.com. This began with an internship before blooming into a promotion to Lead Editorialist and mentor to new interns. My favourite article: 'Fantastic Feminism and Where to find it' reached 100,000 views in just a few days, going viral after the release of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
A significant part of my career is helping others benefit from my writing skills. In 2022, I began freelancing on Upwork, with work including designing worksheets for schools and writing articles on domestic matters. I specialise in proofreading, editing, researching, content writing and fact-checking for clients, ensuring their final product is completed to the highest standard.
